OUR EXPERTS 

The Financing Accelerator Network for NCDs is committed to building its work on a strong foundation of evidence and expertise. FAN's efforts around the world are guided by two groups of experts, the Steering Committee and the Technical Advisory Group, that represent a wide range of knowledge and experience.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is FAN’s decision-making body and is led by representatives from the Access Accelerated Secretariat, Access Accelerated member companies, and World Bank teams. 

The Steering Committee: 

  • Reviews progress updates and reports coordinated and produced by the Network Manager.
  • Makes strategic decisions about the annual budget, strategic focus of investments, regional expansion, and the addition of technical and funding partners​.
  • Vets and approves or rejects proposals of programmatic approaches put forth by the Technical Advisory Group​.
  • Conducts consultative discussions and makes consensus-based ​decisions.

Technical Advisory Group

The Technical Advisory Group informs partnership decision-making, allows for inclusion and diverse technical input, and supports networking. Its membership consists of Access Accelerated company representatives, Access Accelerated Secretariat representatives, World Bank teams, independent technical experts, civil society organizations, and funding partners. 

The Technical Advisory Group:

  • Advises on technical focus areas, programs, regional NCD Financing Accelerators, and local resource partners​.
  • Provides insight on country needs within regions​ of focus.
  • Supports dissemination and communication of activities.
