The Financing Accelerator Network for NCDs (FAN) is a collective response to the global NCD challenge. By building a growing coalition of committed groups of health and financing leaders, experts, and innovators from the private, public, and development sectors, FAN harnesses diverse expertise and resources to develop effective, sustainable NCD financing solutions.
To partner with governments and other stakeholders in LMICs to strengthen sustainable financing systems for NCDs—driving progress towards Sustainable Development Goal target 3.4 (one-third reduction in preventable mortality fromNCDs), target 3.8 (Universal Health Coverage), as well as the World Bank's goal of reaching 1.5 billion people with quality, affordable health services by 2030—ultimately ensuring equitable access to quality NCD care for everyone.
Behind the Financing Accelerator Network for NCDs is a group of motivated individuals and dedicated organizations that share a desire to help improve the lives of people living in low- and middle-income countries around the world.
FAN’s work is guided by a Technical Advisory Group that leverages the experiences of the private sector, the Access Accelerated Secretariat, World Bank teams, civil society organizations, and funding partners, alongside independent technical experts. Together, this ensures FAN’s efforts are informed by both global insights and local realities.
The Financing Accelerator Network for NCDs is a network of regional NCD Financing Accelerators with a shared mission to support low- and middle-income countries in advancing Sustainable Development Goal 3, including universal health coverage.
FAN draws on the strengths of its partners who are committed to supporting LMICs improve health financing to expand equitable access to quality NCD care.
Regional NCD Financing Accelerators serve as centers of excellence, supporting country-based teams to improve health financing for NCDs.
