8am EDT | 12pm Accra | 1pm Tunis | 2pm Geneva, Kigali
The World Bank and the World Health Organization, together with partners, have launched a new country-focused webinar series exploring key issues in health financing, noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), and mental health.
The fourth session of the series takes place on Friday, September 5.
Countries have to allocate much more financial resources to NCDs and Mental Health interventions. Health financing institutional arrangements are pivotal enablers… but can also be barriers. The webinar will discuss how priority setting processes, benefit package design, pooling arrangements and provider payment mechanisms can be revised to enhance the financing of NCD and mental health conditions.
Agenda:
• Introductory note - Kalipso Chalkidou (WHO)
• Presentation - Regis Hitimana (RSSB, Rwanda)
• Panel discussion - Mouna Jameleddine (Tunisia), Kwadwo Obeng (Ghana) - Facilitator: Bruno Meessen (WHO)
• Questions and answers session
• Wrap up - Xiaohui Hou (World Bank)
The session will be conducted in English and interpreted simultaneously into Arabic, Chinese, French and Spanish. It will be interactive: you will be able to address your questions to the panelists.
